At our Special Guest Meeting on 16 May, Lt. Governor Jim Needham
installed our two newest members, Frank Lilly & Donna Bane, sponsored by Jay Puppo.
We have installed 5 new members this year and 4 of them have been sponsored by Jay.
Todd Thayer, Executive Director of Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, was our guest speaker.
He is living proof that one person can make a difference. He could have been a throw-a-way child,
he had hearing & speech problems, but one person took an interest in him and it completely changed his life.
He told us about the changes they are having at Mt Hood Camp and the increased numbers of children
they are able to help. If you ever have a chance during the summer to attend the camp, one Thursday evening,
and eat with the kids and share a campfire, you'll never regret it.
